On Nova Zone, composer Brandon Lau delivers some of the most developed and original trailer music of his career to date. Charged with grand, stirring melodies and propelled by his trademark relentless, mechanical synth work, Lau builds worlds through emotionally sophisticated harmony and memorable musical moments. Urgent and dramatic, the album is underpinned by a sense of awe, wonder and discovery. It operates on an enormous scale, folding together the influence of club music, hip hop and orchestral grandiosity, all with a distinctly subterranean edge.
